Your file stays with you
Warraq's tools run inside your browser. This page states precisely what happens to your files, what we keep and what we do not, without generalities.
Last updated:
The short version
- Your files are processed on your device and never uploaded unless you yourself choose the “server provider” where that option is offered.
- No accounts, no tracking cookies, no ads. We don't sell or share your data; if the server option relies on a cloud provider, we name it next to the option.
- We count usage in aggregate only: how often each tool is used and how many visits each page gets per day, with no identity attached.
- The contact form is the only place that stores what you type, because you send it to us on purpose.
1. What happens to your files
OCR, audio and video transcription, and the PDF and Excel tools all run with engines downloaded into your browser and executed on your device. The file you pick stays in browser memory and is discarded when you close the page.
Some tools offer an option labeled “server provider” for higher quality. It is off by default. When you turn it on, the selected file is sent over HTTPS to Warraq's server, processed and deleted; neither the file nor the resulting text is stored. If the server relies on an external cloud provider, its name is shown next to the option before you enable it.
The audio tool accepts a YouTube link: the link is sent to Warraq's server, which fetches the media from YouTube and returns it to you; neither the link nor the file is kept.
2. What we keep
Tool usage counter: the tool name, how many times it was used, the time of last use, and an aggregate daily count. It contains no IP address, device identifier or file name.
Visit counter: a daily count per page group (home, tools, about, contact…). The page path is mapped to a fixed group before storage, so no free-form path or link token is ever recorded. Your browser's “Do Not Track” setting is honored.
Contact form: the name, email and message you write, so we can reply. They stay in the admin panel until deleted manually and are used for nothing else.
Content Security Policy (CSP) reports: when the browser blocks a non-compliant resource it sends a technical report containing only the violated directive and the blocked source; no IP address and no page content.
3. What we do not keep
We do not store your files or their text, and we do not log IP addresses. IP addresses are held in memory for a few minutes to prevent abuse (rate limiting) and then forgotten; they are never written to a database or log.
No tracking cookies and no third-party analytics. The only cookie on the public site stores the interface language you chose.
4. Storage in your browser
Each tool's settings (such as page size or language) are saved in your browser's local storage only, and can be reset from within the tool. Recognition and transcription models are cached in the browser so they are not downloaded every time.
Transcription models are downloaded once from Hugging Face. This is a third-party connection to fetch the model file only; no data about you or your files is sent with it.
5. Your rights and contact
Since you have no account, we hold no personal data about you other than what you sent through the contact form, and you can ask for its deletion by replying to our message or through the same page.
For questions or deletion requests, email info@warraq.sa.
If the way we process data changes, we will update this page and its date above before the change takes effect.
